These terms govern your use of dbhq.uk and set out the general basis on which we provide our services. By using this website you accept them. Any paid engagement is governed by a separate written agreement between us, which takes precedence over these terms for that work.

Using this website

You may use this site to learn about our work, make an enquiry, and use anything we make freely available. You agree not to misuse it: no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, no scraping or automated collection beyond what our robots policy allows, and nothing unlawful.

Our services

We provide consulting, engineering and technical leadership in applied AI and cloud. The scope, deliverables, timeline and price of any engagement are agreed in writing before work begins, in a proposal, statement of work or engagement agreement. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance, a warranty of a particular outcome, or professional advice you should act on without an engagement.

Fees and payment

Fees are as agreed in writing for each engagement. Unless we agree otherwise, invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date. We may charge interest on late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. All fees are exclusive of VAT, which we add where it applies. Agreed expenses are charged at cost.

Confidentiality

Each of us may receive confidential information from the other during an engagement. We each agree to keep the other's confidential information confidential, to use it only for the engagement, and to protect it with reasonable care. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of ours, or that we are required to disclose by law.

Intellectual property

The content of this website - text, design, logos and graphics - belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reuse it beyond normal browsing without our permission. Ownership of anything we create for you during an engagement is dealt with in that engagement's agreement.

Disclaimers

This website, and anything we make freely available through it, is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, so far as the law allows. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and any free tools or resources are provided for convenience without a guarantee of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or any free resource, and we exclude indirect or consequential loss. Our liability in connection with a paid engagement is set out in that engagement's agreement.

Termination

We may suspend or withdraw the website, or your access to it, at any time. Either of us may end an engagement in line with the terms of its agreement. Provisions that are meant to survive - including confidentiality, intellectual property and liability - continue after an engagement ends.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website, are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the current version always applies.
